Golden Appenzeller Spitzhauben Hatching Eggs (LF)

Golden Appenzeller Spitzhauben Hatching Eggs (LF)

Our Golden Appenzeller Spitzhaubens are possibly the cutest chickens ever. What makes them thus is that the birds have a forward-thrusting crest of feathers on their heads! Although considered large fowl, the species is generally medium to small in stature, and they're pretty rare in the U.S.

The first 18 days are spent incubating, and days 19, 20, and 21 are spent hatching - chicks may even arrive as early as day 18 and as late as day 24.
The eggs need to be kept at 99.5 degrees, with 40 to 50 percent humidity for the first 18 days and 65 to 75 percent humidity for the final days before hatching.

If you don't have an automatic egg turner, the eggs need to be hand rotated thrice daily, but get an automatic egg turner and be amazed at the ease with which you hatch your eggs!

Our Chicken Hatching Eggs are packed and shipped with care to ensure eggs arrive unscathed.

*No guarantees on hatch rates.
